Sunday Worship
Worship begins at 10:30 (9:30 summer) with music (typically traditional hymns), scripture and pastor’s message. “Blog” will be updated for recent highlights. Summer hours begin the week after Memorial Day. Regular 10:30 begins
the week following Labor Day.
United Women in Faith
Long known as United Methodist Women (UMW) is the backbone of our community.
Music Program
Choir sings monthly with rotating featured song leaders.
Outdoor Worship
First Sunday of July, our service is outdoors under an ancient tree’s spreading branches.
Christmas Music
Christmas Eve worship features favorite hymns and scripture.

Christmas Eve at Charlestown
Join us for a special Christmas Eve service on Wednesday, December 24th at 7:00 PM.
Christmas Through Scripture
The story of the first Christmas and the hope it brings will be told in snippets of scripture throughout the service.
ALL Are Welcome
No matter your background, identity, mood, or stage of your faith journey, you are welcome to join us as you are.
Traditional Carol Sing
The service will be full of traditional Christmas carols and hymns (with words in the hymnal and projected on the wall), some preplanned, and several by request.
Candlelight Singing
Toward the end of the service, the lights will be dimmed and the congregation will sing Silent Night and Joy to the World by candlelight.
Advent at Charlestown UMC
Sanctuary gets a makeover between Thanksgiving and Christmas – during the Season of Advent – adding holiday decorations.

Holy Land Tour Photos
In January 2024, some CUMC members will join others from greater New Jersey and Eastern PA to visit the Holy Land, including Galilee, Jerusalem, Jordan River and other places Jesus lived, taught and ministered.
